where is everyone???
I have been coming on here often to see if there is anything new. nothing. I know Bateman and Hopemont hasn't just stopped harrassing people and the heavens opened up and shined down upon our managment and changed them. not that I don't believe it couldn't happen, but come on now. what is going on around the hospitals? So far, I have set up the meeting on the 18th between 1:30 and 5:00 pm. media to be there between 3:30 and 4:00 and Russ Weeks is talking about coming and so are a few of the others. I want to be there so bad I can taste it, but I am going out of town for my sisters wedding. If for some reason my ride doesn't come through, I will be there also. I really wish we would keep in touch better than what we do. come people. what is going on? who is doing what? are we getting anything accomplished? keep me updated. im starving for information here. love ya, mean it.

Ok, I will tell you the EXACT truth Cara, I am SICK beyond belief of listening to Bateman employees bitch & moan and then when they have a chance, they don't do a F*CKING thing!! I had this to do, I had that to do, BULLSHIT!! We have a better chance RIGHT NOW than any MMBH employees have had in probably the entire history of the hospital to make a difference, and they can't even show up at a rally? And to add to that do any of you EVER hear a thank you? Does anyone ever take the time, beyond our core group, to say thanks!!?? Not one fucking time do they ever say thanks, NOT ONE. Very seldom do you have anyone that will tell you that because it "sounds" like I am being selfish or self-centered...what a crock of shit. I simply want MMBH employees to acknowledge what others have done, and be grateful for them, but hell no, in fact, they turn their backs when some need them. Love ya Cara, you KNOW that, but I am sick of this shit, and the sad thing about it, they will NEVER change.
And also, make Joe Manchin suck my ass!! lol :-)

Sorry I have not wrote for a while but have been ill with diverticulitis and just now starting to feel up to par.
I wanted to congratulate all of MMBH and UE for the rally!! It is making a difference!! We are feeling the waves clear up here...
I am so proud of you guys at MMBH and what you are accomplishing.
I had a grievance on July 11th and awaiting a decision there. Matt Oliver and Matt Vital helped another one of our members with a Level 4 grievance (old system) and we are awaiting this decision and Matt and Matt stated if we win this one it could effect even more grievances (it is a pay grievance). And of course the dress code is at the Supreme Court.
I just filed another grievance on the 24th for Recreational staff, they are changing all their shifts for no apparent reasons and we were told today that Chris Amos will be here Friday for the Level 1 and also B. Allen Campbell Asst Attorney General will also be here representing the state. We have never, I repeat NEVER, had either one show up at Hopemont for a Level 1 Grievance. We were told that because state hospitals are getting media coverage (THANK YOU MMBH!!) they are taking this one very seriously because it involves the whole department. We have it broken down into two grievances, one for members and one for non-union members.
Pinecrest (Nola) has been in touch and they are also getting on board with UE and already on board with RUSS WEEKS FOR GOVERNOR!!
Please don't get disheartened now, you guys are making a difference!!

Oh, has everyone heard that John Manchin III was in federal court Tuesday for receiving sexual favors from an escort service in Morgantown, WV called "FASCINATIONS". He is a 33 year old Health Administrator who works with his father DR. John Manchin II at Manchin Clinic in Farmington. He ordered two women from Fascinations and paid them $330 for lap dancing and oral sex. He, of course, cannot recall who solicited the oral sex, him or them. He also cannot recall whether he was intoxicated at the time. It occured in 2001.
I am always thinking of you guys and wondering how you are doing and how you feel since the switch from AFSCME to UE.
Hey look you guys, I go back and read my comments and yeah they sound harsh, but I have never been one to hide how I feel and really seem ZERO reason to start now. The afraid excuse is real, however, it is also getting old. I believe the BIGGEST reason is simply like an employee of MBH once stated, "Why should I pay to join the Union when whatever you guys get, I will get also?"...and the same goes for putting yourself out front in the light...why should they do it if someone else is going to? Denying the truth only holds off the inevitable...the people at Pinecrest and Hopemont are standing up...hey maybe it's me Cara. THE most important thing is that MMBH employees stand together...nothing, and I mean NOTHING will change PERMANENTLY if they do not...it's true, no denying that.
NOW where is everyone? Goodness me, our census is back up to 100...shocking.
Yes Jeff, I heard about that this morning. didn't think it would last long. we all know better than that. It is rediculous there anymore. the Judge is the one that needs to be punished when it comes to the census of the patients. after all bateman is not allowed to turn down a patient and the judge knows this and still sends them to us. am I wrong is the judge althea's husband? I know he is the mental hygiene commissioner. anyway, I haven't been around, been off work because my mother in law passed away, Lisa's mom. so I will be back Tuesday.
My comments were not aimed at you Cara, you know that, and I heard about your MIL and God Bless you all with that. I know you know that I was not talking about you, but had to say it. OVER 100 by the way...and I don't know about her hubby, nor do I care. Yeah, count Russ out, that is what we are counting on...
